The cost of $7,500 is based on 2 hours of flight time and 3-5 hours of ground instruction for SIC proficiency and endorsement.

Note: Training costs may vary based on initial skill and proficiency. Time may be higher or lower based on instructor’s evaluation of applicant’s skill level to satisfactorily complete FAA requirements. Additional flight time needed will be billed at $3,500 per hour.

Duration & Requirements

  • Duration: Training sessions are scheduled based on aircraft and instructor(s) availability and will be tailor to fit student(s) schedules. Initial contact with our instructors will involve initial arrangements and personalized training plans for each student.

  • Pilot Requirements:

    – FAA issued Private Pilot Certificate
    – US issued current Third-Class Medical Certificate
    – FAA issued Airplane Multi-engine Land Category and Class Rating
    – Minimum of 30 hours tailwheel time

  • Location: Flabob Airport, Riverside, California, or an airport best suited for class needs.

  • DC3 Training: Expect 3-5 hours of ground instruction related to DC3 systems, preflight-postflight procedures, call-outs, and general quirks of the airplane. Expect 2-3 hours of flight time to become proficient for an SIC endorsement by our Chief Instructor.
